Mustard Seed Series® Pre-Confirmation

Pre-Confirmation 1 and 2 provide the needed foundation for the Confirmation course and can be used as a prerequisite to it. These two years cover the major Biblical stories and themes. While designated for 7th - 9th graders, this material is designed to be content-driven rather than age-specific. Adults as well as adolescents  can use this material. Their response to it will be governed by their age, experience, search for spiritual truths and values, curiosity, and critical thinking ability. You can also use this with an intergenerational group.

The Mustard Seed Series® is organized thematically around the Old and New Testaments, presents our faith story clearly and chronologically and encourages students to think critically about Bible texts. It uses classical music, art and literature as well as serious study of the Scriptures and church life and history. This program is appropriate for all mainline denominations. It is very structured so is easy to lead with minimal preparation while still offering the opportunity to be flexible and creative in how you choose to use the material. Two years of reproducible materials includes teacher manuals, student books/handouts, a director's manual and a teacher training manual with a wealth of background information, teaching aids, classroom management ideas and more. The entire Mustard Seed Series® (K-9) is also available as an annual membership.

The Mustard Seed Series® Pre-Confirmation and Confirmation Programs are included in the new Center for Youth Ministry membership that also gives you access to four youth ministry programs four confirmation programs and a host of other resources. Judicatory memberships for dioceses, synods, etc. also are available -- they allow a judictory to pay a flat fee for access to all materials for all of their congregations.
