Desmond Tutu speaks about how we come to terms with the love of God for us and how that can lead to both reconciliation and transformation. Because Bishop Tutu’s style is so remarkably enriching, the study is formatted to allow groups to view the whole presentation in one session, and then to revisit parts of it in detail during subsequent meetings. It is a perfect resource for congregations, study groups, schools and more, whether in a large faith community or a small one. No extensive knowledge of scripture is needed, just an interest in being nourished by on of the most energizing preachers and teachers in the Anglican world.
This resource incorporates a DVD, Leader's Guide, which allows each segment’s teachings to be taught to a group or utilized for independent study. The resource guide presents a format for a six session course and gives the course leader specific points of discussion, debate and activities for participants. An alternative model for conducting the course as a weekend retreat, with examples of daily schedules and activities is also included. Also appropriate for use with youth groups.
This resource is inspired by, and wrapped around, a keynote address Archbishop Tutu gave at Trinity Wall Street's 2003 Spiritual Formation Summit at Kanuga.
The DVD ships directly from the vendor. The Leader's Guide is available as a downloadable PDF file.
