Felt Bible Storytelling Curriculum

DEVELOPING A VISUAL VOCABULARY OF FAITH

Beulah Land is a felt board teaching resource that offers the stories of the Christian faith to children in a way that helps them develop a visual vocabulary of the faith. If it's time to revitalize your Christian Education program, time to "get back to basics" with the essential stories of the Christian faith, then we invite you to explore this flannel graph curriculum resource. In this curriculum all of Gretchen Wolff Pritchard's creativity is applied to each story in the Beulah Land felt storytelling materials (purchased separately).

While the felt storytelling materials work well with many curricula (such as our WorkshopCycles curriculum), this curriculum allows you to offer a full Sunday School program using all of the related felt storytelling materials. The extensive introductory material discusses children's spirituality, the power of story in worship, and the different response called forth by Old and New Testament stories. We know that children, expecially young children, enjoy and learn in many different ways. And so we have included in this curriculum both art and craft activites and dramatic play and exploratory activities. Experts say that children will enjoy participating week after week if activities using their individual learning styles are offered at least one week in three.
