Felt Bible Storytelling Curriculum

DEVELOPING A VISUAL VOCABULARY OF FAITH

Beulah Land is a felt board teaching resource that offers the stories of the Christian faith to children in a way that helps them develop a visual vocabulary of the faith. If it's time to revitalize your Christian Education program, time to "get back to basics" with the essential stories of the Christian faith, then we invite you to explore this flannel graph curriculum resource. In this curriculum all of Gretchen Wolff Pritchard's creativity is applied to each story in the Beulah Land felt storytelling materials (purchased separately).

Felt Storytelling - A Starter Set

Invite children to enter imaginatively into the Biblical narrative by playing with the story on their own terms. When children appropriate the Scriptural world in this way, its language becomes a part of their lives forever. This Starter Set includes the stories of Creation, Flood, Christmas, Jesus' Life and the Apostles Creed. All felt materials, scripts and instructions are included. You can also use this to supplement any Bible-based curriculum.

Felt Storytelling - Miracles and Parables

Expand your storytelling options with this selection of New Testament stories. Stories of Miracles include Simeon, Marriage at Cana, Paralyzed Man, Jairus' Daughter, Transfiguration and Lazarus. Parable stories include The Sower, Mustardseed and Yeast, The Good Samaritan, The Prodigal Son and The Good Shepherd.

Felt Storytelling - NT Acts and Adventures

This selection of New Testament, Post-Resurrection stories adds stories of important events from "then" to "now." Included are stories of Easter Week, the Apostles' Ministry, Stories of Peter, Conversion of Paul and Adventures of Paul.

Felt Storytelling - OT Heroes Set

Our visual vocabulary of faith continues to expand with this newest set - Old Testament Heroes. While Abraham and Moses represent the major figures in the Old Testament, there are other hero stories. Here are 9 of the most important: Jacob, Joseph, Ruth, Samuel, David, Elijah, Esther, Daniel, Jonah.

Felt Storytelling - Salvation Set

Expanding from the materials in the Starter Set, the Salvation Story includes Old Testament landscape, the Disciples, people in modern dress, priest, font and altar. The same carefully selected colors, beautiful visual affects and thoughtful scripts provide a seamless storytelling medium. Materials and scripts for Adam and Eve, Abraham, Exodus, Jerusalem (temple, exile, return and prophesies), Jesus and the Teachers, Jesus’ Baptism and Temptation, Ministry and Disciples, Loaves and Fishes, Passion (Last Supper and a more detailed Easter Story), Pentecost, Church and Sacraments, and Christian Hope.
