Come and Worship

A LECTIONARY-BASED CHILDREN'S CHAPEL RESOURCE

developed by Holy Trinity Parish, Clemson, SC

This resource provides a creative children's liturgy for each of the three years (A, B, C using the RCL). It is an age appropriate worship option for younger children, especially in a congregation where Sunday School is at an hour separate from worship.

Live It!

A FAMILY RESOURCE

by Margaret Hutton and Ann Willott

Live It! is a resource designed for churches to offer families something short and simple that they can actually DO in the midst of today's busy lifestyles. Formed around key words (trust, gratitude, kindness, etc.), each table card provides a quote, a sentence prayer, a sharing suggestion and a Scripture lesson to help you grow. Each key word has four cards which you can use as a monthly feature (a different card each week).

Meet the Saints: St. Patrick

by Anna L. Liechty and Phyllis Vos Wezeman

An introduction to the life of Ireland's patron saint which is explored through engaging first person stories set within a devotional framework. In the first segment, MEET, the story and activities invite you to discover "Who was this saint?" In the LEARN section, the emphasis is on the call St. Patrick received from God to begin his ministry. Next, the EXPLORE portion tells what he did in response to God's call. Finally, in the SHARE section, you are challenged to continue the legacy of the Saint.

Praying All the Time

USING CHILDREN'S BOOKS TO EXPLORE DIFFERENT KINDS OF PRAYER

The Bloom Box

HELPING CONGREGATIONS EXPLORE CREATIVE LITURGY

by Caroline Fairless and Jim Sims

The Bloom Box, especially designed to help congregations include children in worship, helps any group enter into the process of change — not with fear and trembling, but with play and laughter. As groups role-play possible scenarios and solutions, they also learn to compromise, let go and see value in different viewpoints. This kit includes a variety of resources: a media presentation, step-by-step guides, surveys, training tools, a game & more!

What is Worship?

We believe children can learn about worship and benefit from being a part of community worship, well before they would ever be able to define or explain it.  This unit examines some of what happens in a church service and helps children connect with it as their relationship with God grows.
