Develop a marriage ministry in your congregation! Support newlyweds in forming healthy, loving relationships. While this mentor training program could be used to train mentors for any situation, it is specifically designed to prepare laity to work with couples preparing for marriage or lead a marriage enrichment program.
Clergy are involved, but often the marriage mentors lead the sessions and build lasting relationships that can support couples during the early stages of marriage. Mentors find their own marriages enriched by the process as well.
This process can also be used for marriage enrichment retreats can also help a congregation to support couples seeking to live the vows they made. In addition, congregations have used the book for Sunday morning adult education or for parenting groups.
