The Seventh Day

EMBRACING SABBATH SPIRITUALITY

In today’s over-scheduled world, many of us yearn for rest... for sabbath. The Seventh Day offers six sessions to help people experience the holiness of rest and delight in their daily lives. Using either a small group study/reflection format, or a presentation/discussion format for larger groups, The Seventh Day explores the relationship of work, rest and prayer.

Option 1: Small Group Study:
For groups of 5-10 people, meeting about 1½ hours each session; Study Guides include a brief reading for each chapter, personal exercises to do at home, and an outline for the group meeting and reflection after each chapter.

Option 2: Large Group Presentation and Discussion:
The leader uses a Study Guide to present material for each chapter; handouts facilitate group interaction and discussion. Also included are guidelines for ways to practice sabbath spirituality at home and work.
